The
replacement couple we were expecting to replace us has finally received their
call to our mission. Unfortunately, they were to report to the MTC on
July 7th. That means they would not be overlapping us. There would
be nearly a month gap between us. When Pres. Miles learned of their MTC
date, he got the ball rolling in a hurry to get their date changed to allow the
two couples to overlap a bit. He sounded pretty confident that the change
would be made. We hope he is right.
But,
at any rate, we are really pleased with the great news! Thanks for your
prayers. Please keep praying that we will in fact be able to spend a
couple days (or more) with the Zauggs before we board a plane on June
3rd. Most of you know we will be stopping off in Haslet, TX, to meet our
new grandson and to attend Rachel's baptism on June 7th. Our scheduled
arrival in SLC is 4 p.m, June 9th on Delta #835 from Dallas/Ft. Worth.
Mission reporting: Sunday, June 15th at 10:50 a.m. At this point,
the only circumstance that could change our SLC arrival could be if we needed
to leave a day or two later from Stuttgart to make it possible for us to overlap
with the Zauggs. That would not interfere with our attendance
at Rachel's baptism, but it could delay our arrival in SLC by a day or
two. We're hoping those adjustments will not be necessary.
We're
so excited to see you all again. We know it will not be possible for some
of you to be in Bountiful on the 15th. Not to worry. We
will definitely be together for the RV/LM Benson Reunion over the 4th
of July. Excited for that for sure! Thanks again to Rich and Jaime
(and others?)for making the arrangements.
